Seizure of the US Navy Ship and her 83 crew members (1 killed during the attack) followed by abuse and torture during the subsequent 11-months prisoner drama, it became a major Cold War incident
Prisoners were released on 23 December 1968
USS Pueblo is still held by North Korea today (it's moored as a tourist attraction at Pyongyang Victorious War Museum), and officially remains a commissioned vessel of the US Navy.

USS Pueblo is the only ship of the US Navy still on commissioned roster currently being held captive
